Imitation is the Ultimate Form of Flattery
I knew it would happen sooner than later...but after just 2 days?! Seems like someone has taken a look at the Amateur life, liked it, and has decided to take it a step further. Beware of imitations though; they're never as good as the real deal. Take a look and be the judge for yourself. www.2bepro.blogspot.com. I guess I should be flattered. I'm gonna let it slide for now. This guy just might have some talent. The numbers don't lie. If and when he goes Pro, I just might mention his name on this Amateur blog. Not until then though....

i know this site is for amateurs only, and since i'm still an amateur it's cool right? I mean, are "aspiring pros" aloud to hang out?
You're definitely blurring the lines of the site since you are a Cat 1 (Pro without a job)...BUT...you can hang out under one condition- The Mainstay must get a regular shoutout on 2bepro. Fair enough?
Yes, you must talk about how hard the mainstay is. He did 6hrs on Saturday, drank a dozen beers, then danced the night away at "Swinging Richard's".
i think i can handle that, though i'm not sure if the mainstay can handle many more 6hr/12pack saturdays.
Careful...Mainstay just might prove you wrong....and dance at Swinging Richards again. Or the wrong side of Coronet Club.
What a bunch of BS I heard a cat 4 out road "the amateur" Saturday maybe thats why your still "the amateur" lowly cat 2 that you are. Drinking lite beer, maybe if you drank some real beer you would have finished the ride at Swinging Richards with the "mainstay" but I guess you at least showed up unlike the "irishman from the highlands" that invited the town on the ride and didn't show!
Let me set the record straight - it was only 5 beers on Saturday nite. I had 12 on Sunday. Get used to the Sunday drinking - I bring a cooler to the races.
Correct- Hobbs (amateur, cat 4)rode longer than the Trash Man and myself....which further proves our amateur ways. But he is my PROtege, and I have big aspirations for the boy. Even the shrinking man with a fat van is scared of him. By the way, how was your East Atlanta crit on Saturday?
Although I thought you catching a ride home from the trail was an amateurish move, it proved to be the smart one. I'm still shivering from that ride home. I'm looking forward to reading your blog for more tips.
i wanted to get in that car, too, but i knew the clinger would have been waiting for me.

Boonen you of all should understand people desperately want to ride with Euro Amateurs and it is impossible to be in two continents at once. I killed an amatuer Kermise in Antwerp on Saturday. 12 Duval's and a trip to Riquard's du Swing topped of a classic amateur training weekend.
